Signs and Symptoms of Influenza
In most cases, the influenza virus is spread when the contaminated
mucus is transmitted through coughing and sneezing. This disease can
also spread in the atmosphere with the bird droppings, nasal discharge
or when it gets contaminated by any infected surface area.
 Although influenza germs can be stabilized with the use of disinfectant
soaps, use of various detergents and regular washing of hands reduces
the chances of getting affected.
The signs and reactions of the infection can erupt quietly without any
prior notice within one to two days after you get sick. Generally, the
first indications are choppy cold sensations along with fever which is
also an early part of this disease. The body temperature at this time
usually ranges between 38 and 39 degree C.
The indications of influenza are:
- You will have fever and tremendous chilliness associated with
shivering and headache.
- You may experience nasal blockage.
- You may suffer from body aches, mostly in your joints and
throat.
- Cough and sneeze.
- Occasional headache.
- You will feel exhausted and weak.
- Feeling irritated along with watering eyes.
- Reddened eyes, including face, skin, throat, mouth, and nose.
- Children may face gastrointestinal problems which may include
abdominal pain and diarrhoea that can get even worse in case of
influenza B.

When the disease is still at its first stage of development, it
can get really hard to differentiate between the common cold and

possibly on the growing stage of the infection

significant difference between both the types of infections. In case
of a cold, you might just feel a bit lousy whereas when influenza
hits you, there is more chance of developing complications.
